Vehicle Extrication

Tactical Rescue Training's "Vehicle Extrication" includes the latest information about new vehicles on the road today and the hazards associated with them including: hybrids, SUV's, composite construction, air bag & restraint/safety systems and seat belt pre-tensioners. Effective techniques for vehicle stabilization, scene safety, rapid access and patient extrication are illustrated in the classroom and demonstrated in hands-on evolutions.

The hands-on program allows each participant the chance to use a variety of hand tools, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools to complete the evolution's objective of accessing the interior of the vehicle and providing for the removal of trapped occupants.

The objective of this training is to provide the knowledge and skills required by responders to effectively and successfully mitigate emergencies involving rescues from motor vehicle. Classes can be tailored to department's needs. Four-hour "back to basics" sessions, as well as full-day and two-day advanced classes and train-the-trainer courses are available.
