One of the most critical factors in successful fire operations is the proper placement
of initial hoselines. Learning the strategy and developing the skills
involved in effective engine operations is often left to chance
- through "on the job" experience. A better way is to
learn from veteran fire instructors that have the experience
and can share it. TRT's instructors have that experience and the
training programs that can help firefighters develop the skills
and knowledge needed in today's fire service.
"Engine Operations" stresses the basics
of effective engine work - stretching hoselines, advancing hoselines,
water supply, large caliber streams, and standpipe operations.
